Credentials and Training

Amy Indence Steward PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has 7 years of experience as a clinical nurse on the inpatient neuroscience unit at Duke University Hospital. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Masters of Science in Nursing at Duke University. She specializes in medication management and psychotherapy. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their goals using a holistic, person-centered approach with a foundation of caring.

Areas of Clinical Interest

Mrs. Indence Steward enjoys working with patients across the lifespan, including a specialty in providing care for the geriatric population. She also holds a board certification as a Gerontological nurse. She is eager to continue learning and growing as a provider.

In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, spending time with her family/friends, yoga, and hiking.
