My 17 year old daughter has been treated by Julie for the past 2 years and we love her. Julie really understands my daughter's issues with substance use and mental health and is not pushy or authoritarian in her approach with her, which can easily turn teenagers off and have them check out. Instead she is supportive and continually encouraging my daughter to meet the goals she has set for herself by breaking down large, overwhelming plans into small, very actionable steps and then checking back in on progress. Julie treats my daughter with respect and does not talk down to her which can easily happen when working with teens (especially teens with substance use). She puts the responsibility and the power in my daughter's hands to change her own life while sustaining a consistent message of the need and benefits of recovery and good mental health. Julie treats the whole person, not just the symptoms presented. My daughter feels heard and respected and we feel very lucky to have found Julie.
